THE TRUTH ABOUT BRUSH PLATING: All brush plating process evolved from their tank plating counterpart.  But instead of taking a part to a plating tank, the plating solution is taken to the part.  But brush plating is only practical in only CERTAIN areas of plating.  Here are a few examples.  If you need to plate an small area of a larger part that cannot be dismantled or would be impractical to dismantle.  If you are doing car emblems or trim pieces while they are on the car.  If you are plating only accents on a part and not the entire part, such as gold plating accents on silverware and silver tea sets.  If you are doing parts smaller than your fist.  The aforementioned situations are some of the few scenarios where you would want to brush plate a part.  Brush plating is very time consuming as compared to tank plating, especially when you are putting multiple coatings onto a part such as triple chrome plating a part.  Why do you think all plating shops use plating tanks?  Choose a tank plating system if you are going to do many different sized parts, if you are going to be doing parts larger than your fist often, or if you are going to be doing a lot of triple chrome plating.  Choose brush plating if your needs fall into the scenarios above.  Pick the right tool for the job and it will make your life much easier.
