What is aluminum anodizing?
An aluminum part, when
charged with direct current in an anodizing bath forms an
oxide layer on the surface of that part. This oxide
layer or more commonly called an oxide film is very hard.
It is much hard and durable than the original surface of the
aluminum thus offering the aluminum part extra protection.
This oxide film can be dyed with a metallic dye to achieve
any color and combination of color to create a beautiful
finish. The aluminum surface can be manipulated many
different ways to form assorted patterns, designs, and
pictures. Anodizing of aluminum is a relatively
simple process for a non plater to learn. You can
begin producing nice looking anodized parts in a matter of a
few hours after setting up your studio. If our

be amazed at the parts you produce after the first full day

Our anodizing kits are sold as complete kits
which contains everything you need other than a power supply.
The studio kits are sold two ways: Basic Anodizing Kit
and Show Anodizing Kit. The Basic Anodizing Kits are
best for people looking to do clear anodizing while the Show
Anodizing Kits are geared towards people who are seeking a
bright colorful finish, those doing
show
quality color anodizing, and multi color anodizers who work
with thing such as paintball guns. We are the
only company that sells studio size kits for
Hard Coat Anodizing,
Salt Resistant Anodizing, and Super Thick Anodizing

anodizing). We can also help you with Titanium
Anodizing too.
Pictured at the top of this page is one of the larger
commercial anodizing tanks we had set up for a customer. Pictured to the
left is a small six gallon studio anodizing
tank. When using our anodizing system, whether you have a commercial line
or a studio kit, the quality of your anodizing finish will be no different.
You will be able to produce commercial quality anodizing work with our studio
kit...no problem.
Our
Studio Anodizing Kits come complete with everything you need
except for a power supply. A 12 to 24 volt battery charger
with the necessary amperage will work nicely for a power
supply if you are on a budget. We also offer a full
line of rectifiers (click here to
see our rectifiers) for any anodizing application as
well as rectifiers that can be used for plating as well (for
those who want to plate and anodize). Our chemicals
include a true non etch
Aluminum Only Cleaner
(not merely an all purpose degreaser),
Aluminum Etch (not
included many hobby kits - yet a vital step),
Desmut AL
(which deoxidizes as well as removes smut from aluminum - a
deox only deoxidizes but will not perform any smut removal),
Anodizer Solution (a true
lab grade anodizing solution with a chemical fume suppressor
so there is no need for fume balls. We do not recommend the
use of battery fluid due to impurities and inconsistency of
content as well as excessive fuming), a very fast and
effective Anodizing Stripper, and a choice of
two Anodizing Sealers (depending upon your needs).
We carry a mid temperature seal as well as a room
temperature seal. They are much safer to use than
boiling nickel acetate and gets much more consistent results
that steam or boiling water sealing. Our kit comes with an Anodizing Only Book and not merely a
plating book that has one small chapter anodizing. Our
Show Anodizing Kit comes with all the above plus any three
show color dyes, a Show Anodizer Solution (instead of the
Anodizer), and more tanks and heaters. The Show
Anodizing kit also comes with an anodizing tape and rubber
masking product. This kit is perfect for
anyone looking for a bright and colored anodized finish.
